Floral design in events
Published on 15 October 2019
Floral design in events is a remarkable tool for telling a brand’s story while creating a particular emotion among guests. Flowers make it possible to imagine grand, original and colourful decors where creativity can express itself freely.
Our venues have hosted decors ranging from the most classic to the most unusual, always imagined by talented designers including Kevin Lorphelin, for the events arm of Jardin d’Auteuil, Emily Baylis of June in March, the creators of PopFleurs…
The power of floral design in events
Choosing flowers for your decoration
Long reserved for weddings, floral creations are now used for all types of events. The rise of luxury events is one of the factors that made this evolution possible.

Organising a showroom is the ideal moment to immerse customers in a brand’s world. For this immersion to be total, every detail of the decoration is studied. Flowers can be used to create a particular atmosphere that matches the brand’s image and the world it wants to build around a new collection or a new product.
The home linen brand Yves Delorme, for example, called on Thierry Féret to decorate the Cercle LeBrun for a showroom in September 2019. The result: an explosion of colour in the salons of our private mansion!
The value of floral scenography
At evenings organised by brands, we also find exceptional floral creations that make it possible to create a decoration guests will remember for a long time. The St-Germain brand regularly stages exceptional floral decors! At the Cercle d’Aumale, the florist June In March created an immersive decor for St-Germain with a plant maze.
Floral scenography lets brands imagine a bespoke decor, because flowers impose few limits on creativity. A scenography can of course be imagined from other decorative elements, but flowers have the particular ability to provoke more emotion and wonder in guests.
How are flowers used?
The floral trend most often seen in events is a mix of flowers that are both elegant and rustic, with dried flowers in the spotlight! Their use adds a touch of bohemian decoration, but also makes it possible to create impressive decors, notably through the use of pampas grass.

Today, the origin of the flowers used is what is mostly highlighted. Eco-responsible florists are increasingly numerous. Popfleurs is one of those florists offering responsible flowers grown in France in environmentally friendly conditions. Its founder, Hélène Taquet, also offers workshops and flower bars at event evenings, showrooms, product launches…
