Your connected seminars and events at the By Kadrance Cercles
Published on 8 July 2020
In-person contact and the human touch, which were so sorely missed during lockdown, are back in professional events. Meeting up with your colleagues, clients or prospects, interacting with them, sharing working time, activities or meals… These are among a company’s highlights, and setting up connected events can bring interesting added value.
Connected events: a harmonious marriage between in-person and remote
For as long as the health situation requires it, in-person events will take place with reduced numbers and, of course, scrupulous compliance with safety measures. Their quality will certainly be improved, with a more personal and individualised dimension. However, to offset the drop in the number of participants on site, a digital component can enrich the in-person event by multiplying audiences.
Equipped with 200 Mb optical fibre, the By Kadrance Cercles have always hosted events that include streaming. Digital is already an important component of today’s events, and will be even more so tomorrow. To support our clients in their hybrid events, combining the essential sensory experience of the in-person event with the reach made possible by digital, we have surrounded ourselves with partners to advise our clients on an even wider range of connected services.
From the multitude of solutions available on the market, we have selected French start-ups that compete in innovation and technical skill, to guide our clients towards connected offers perfectly matched to their project.
Multiplying your audiences with quality recording and broadcasting equipment
Conferences, masterclasses… This type of event, which involves little or no interaction between the audience and speakers, is particularly well suited to streaming, which makes it possible to multiply remote audiences.
Live streaming can be part of a company’s CSR approach, limiting travel for both participants and speakers, and can even bring an advantage in terms of ROI if the live streaming is well enough thought out and organised for the content to be engaging, even remotely. Filming and broadcasting a conference is not enough to engage an online audience: formats and content must be rethought to be more dynamic, better paced and adapted to convey as much as possible of the emotion of the in-person event.
Live streaming covers different aspects: a professional recording service, with suitable equipment, camera operators and sound engineers, but also broadcasting on a secure platform branded with the company’s image. It is also possible to couple the broadcast with a statistical dimension by gathering participants’ feedback. This makes it possible to know the ROI precisely, which is particularly interesting for this type of event where information is “top-down”, generally aimed at an audience outside the company. There are as many live streaming solutions as there are projects, and costs vary widely depending on the solution chosen.
Our venues also allow a genuine TV set to be set up for any programme-recording project. In collaboration with our partners, we offer a complete webcast package, involving a collective of experts (designers, writers, make-up artists, journalists…) for a turnkey filming project.
Making interactive hybrid seminars possible
For seminars, whose way of working between plenary sessions and workshops relies on interaction, co-creation and team building, the digital side works differently.
To let remote participants enjoy an experience as close as possible to that of their in-person colleagues, we have surrounded ourselves with experts to guide you towards offers based on collaboration and team exchange. Brainstorming with a digital sticky-note system, whiteboard for workshop sessions… Our collaborative web conferencing offer ensures the seminar can run smoothly and be productive, even with some participants remote.
Seminars are also moments that serve team-building and internal communication functions. Besides the work done, the social and playful aspect is important for bonding teams and developing a sense of belonging. For this aspect, we can recommend the online photo activity offer from one of our partners: each participant can send their portrait and a message from their computer or smartphone. The photos are placed side by side until they form a collage in the company’s image (a logo or slogan, for example).
The mosaic is interactive: at any time participants can browse it, click on the photos and discover the associated messages. At the end of the event, a video montage of the result is sent to the client. This keeps a memento and lets people feel part of the event, even if they were not able to attend in person.
