Private boat hire in Paris: Le Bateau Phare
Le Bateau Phare is a boat moored on the Seine opposite the BnF (Paris 13th). Hire it in full or deck by deck, Monday to Sunday from 9am to 5am, for your corporate evenings and seminar days.
The boat does not sail: it stays moored at the quayside
Le Bateau Phare does not sail. It stays moored at the Port de la Gare, 3 Port de la Gare, 75013 Paris, opposite the Bibliothèque nationale de France.
For your event this is an advantage: a steady boat, easy access from the quay and no sailing or boarding timetable to respect. Private hire is possible Monday to Sunday from 9am to 5am.
The spaces you can hire
Hire the whole boat or one deck at a time. Groups are welcome from 20 people.
The Carré
100 people
Intermediate deck and lounge bar, for a seated dinner or a meeting. Four customisable digital screens. Air-conditioned.
The Cale
200 people
Lower deck with stage, sound desk and DJ booth, for an evening with dancing or a conference on a big screen. Air-conditioned.
The quayside terrace
300 people
Open-air terrace on the quay of the Seine. Groups from 20 people. From November to April it can be hired a few days a month, with the agreement of Haropa, the port manager.
The whole boat
Up to 300 people on the whole boat, over 600 m² on 3 decks.

The former Batofar
Le Bateau Phare is the former Batofar, the Irish lightship Osprey (1955) that became the Batofar in 1999 at the Port de la Gare. Read its history on lebateauphare.paris.

Does the boat sail?
No. Le Bateau Phare stays moored at the Port de la Gare, 3 Port de la Gare, 75013 Paris, opposite the BnF. It is steady, easy to reach from the quay and has no sailing timetable: your event runs from 9am to 5am, Monday to Sunday, on private hire.
Do I have to hire the whole boat?
No. You can hire the whole boat or one deck at a time (Deck, Carré, Cale), and the quayside terrace on its own. Groups are welcome from 20 people on the quayside terrace and the upper deck.
How many people can the boat hold?
Up to 300 people on the whole boat. By space: Deck 130, Carré 100 (seated dinner or meeting), Cale 200 (evening with dancing) and quayside terrace 300. Final capacities depend on the layout and are confirmed in your quote.
What equipment is available?
Customisable digital screens in every space (4 in the Carré, 2 on the Deck), a video projector on request, Wi-Fi and a redundant internet connection. The Carré and the Cale are air-conditioned; the Deck and the quayside terrace are not.
